When writing a recent novel, I spent time thinking about the concept of identity; the idea that people can fool not just their close associates, but even themselves, and literally become the person they believe they are. It became increasingly clear to me that nobody ever really knows another person.

...So I have a chance this weekend to see the allegedly "illustrious" Dublin's Gate Theatre perform one of two Beckett plays. Watt or End Game. Watt is $30 per person and End Game is $45. I could see both but don't really have that kinda money.
